TerreStar Chairman Steps Down

Reston, VA, January 23, 2007 - TerreStar Networks Inc. and TerreStar Global Ltd., majority-owned subsidiaries of Motient Corporation (MNCP), announced today that Jared (Jerry) Abbruzzese has stepped down effective January 22, 2007. Abbruzzese served as Chairman of the Board of TerreStar Networks Inc. and Chairman of the Company of TerreStar Global Ltd. Mr. Abbruzzese will serve on a Board of Advisors that is being established for TerreStar Global.
